RDE testing

LAT/AUTh offers emissions testing in Real Driving Emissions (RDE) using PEMS systems by AVL and Horiba. All gaseous emissions can be monitored (CO2, CO, NO, NO2, THC) as well as particle number emissions. The RDE tests can be either regulation compliant or non-compliant tests, designed for studying emissions during dynamic driving conditions, over routes with significant altitude changes, fully urban conditions or any other combination required by the project target. The lab uses advanced software tools (AVL Smart Mobile Solutions) to support research for new RDE routes, monitoring of RDE dynamics to help the driver and driver's aid tools for better test repetitions.
